Refund & Cancellation Policy
This Refund & Cancellation Policy ("Policy") explains how cancellations and refunds work for paid subscriptions to the EyalSec / es2 platform (the "Service") offered by EyalSec ("EyalSec", "we", "us"). It supplements, and should be read together with, Section 9 ("Fees, subscription, renewal, cancellation, and refunds") and Section 11 ("Consumer rights") of our Terms of Service. If there is any conflict, the Terms of Service govern.
1. Billing and payment
The Service is priced on a metered basis (see /pricing). Paid access is arranged
directly with EyalSec following a quote; there is currently no self-serve online
checkout. EyalSec issues your invoice and receipt, and applicable taxes (including
VAT/sales tax) are addressed on that invoice.
Refund and billing requests are handled by EyalSec: contact eyal@eyalsec.com. If a third-party payment processor or Merchant of Record is used for a transaction, that provider's receipt and terms apply to it and we will coordinate refunds on eligible requests.
2. Free trial
The trial is a free 24-hour trial and is not charged, so no refund is necessary. The trial does not convert to paid access automatically; you are only charged if you choose to purchase paid access.
3. Subscriptions are non-refundable
Except where mandatory law requires otherwise (see Section 5) or as expressly stated in this Policy, fees for paid subscription periods are non-refundable, and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial or unused subscription periods, downgrades, or for time during which you did not use the Service. This mirrors Section 9(e) of the Terms.
4. Cancellation (stop future renewals)
You can cancel at any time by contacting us (there is currently no self-serve billing portal). When you cancel:
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
- You keep access to your paid plan until that period ends.
- You are not billed again for subsequent periods.
Cancelling stops future renewals; by itself it does not generate a refund for the current period. You may also delete your account and associated data via Settings, as described in the Terms and Privacy Policy.
5. Statutory consumer rights (cooling-off)
If you purchase as a consumer (for purposes outside your trade, business, or profession), you may have statutory cancellation/withdrawal ("cooling-off") rights; for example a 14-day right under EU/UK and Israeli consumer law. Nothing in this Policy limits or overrides those statutory rights.
Note that for digital services that begin immediately, you may be asked at checkout to request that performance begin at once and to acknowledge that you lose the withdrawal right once the service has been fully performed, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Where a statutory right of withdrawal applies and has not been lost, we will refund in accordance with that law.
6. Duplicate, incorrect, or unauthorized charges
If you believe you were charged in error (for example a duplicate charge, a charge after a valid cancellation, or a charge you did not authorize), contact us at eyal@eyalsec.com within a reasonable time. Verified erroneous or duplicate charges are refunded in full.
7. Price changes
We will give notice of material price changes before they take effect. If you do not agree to a new price, you may cancel before your next renewal to avoid being charged at the new rate (see Section 4).
8. How refunds are made
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method, in the original transaction currency. The time for funds to appear depends on your payment provider. Any taxes collected are handled as part of the refund.
9. How to request a refund
Email eyal@eyalsec.com with your account email, the approximate date of the charge, and your invoice/receipt reference. We aim to acknowledge refund requests promptly.
