Delete your account

This page explains the Danger zone page in Settings and what happens when you permanently delete your EyalSec account.

The Danger Zone

The Danger zone is the last of the Settings pages, and its tab is red. It holds the one action that cannot be undone: deleting your account.

Delete your account

Deleting your account removes it and everything in it for good. There is no undo and no way for EyalSec to bring it back.

  1. Open Settings > Danger zone and go to Delete account.
  2. Enter your password under Confirm your password to delete account.
  3. Click Delete my account.
  4. Your browser asks you to confirm: "Permanently delete your account and all data? This cannot be undone." Click OK.

You are signed out everywhere and taken to the EyalSec home page. If the password was wrong, the page says "Password incorrect; account not deleted." and nothing changes.

If your account was created with Google and has no password yet, set one first with Forgot password.

What is deleted

Deleting the account deletes all the data that belongs to it. That includes:

  • your machines and their configuration,
  • every event, in every product's list,
  • your filters, rules and saved searches,
  • your API key, two-factor settings and sessions.

Agents still installed on your machines can no longer send anything once the account is gone, but the files stay on those machines. If you want the machines clean, uninstall EyalSec from them before you delete the account; see Uninstall.

If you want to stop for now and may come back, you do not have to delete anything: talk to sales@eyalsec.com about your plan instead.

Billing

There is no billing page in Settings. Your plan and invoices are handled with EyalSec directly; for questions about them, email sales@eyalsec.com. See Plans and limits.
